CatchMeInADream@yahoo.com BioYes. This is me. "Me" is Jamie, about 5'6", brown hair, and blue/grey eyes. Everything else changes pretty fluidly. Somewhere, somehow, I got the nickname Piper, and even though not many people call me that anymore, I still respond to it. So, use whichever you like better.
The three things I am most passionate about:
1. Horses. Horses are my life. Literally. Dressage will eventually be how I make my living. I own two, a 6 year old Bashkir curly/Arabian cross called Erik, and a 5 year old quarter horse mare named Foxie. I imagine I feel about my horses the way mothers feel about their children. I work at a YMCA camp doing trail rides. I plan on taking a series of internships at different barns around the country in order to start a career as a trainer. I would also very much like to study the German style of dressage.
2. Music. I really, really, really love music, and I listen to a lot of stuff. The Dresden Dolls. Lacuna Coil. HORSE the Band. Strung Out. Shakira. Cradle of Filth. Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. David Bowie. Bjork. And lots and lots of others. The point is, I will listen to everything, from metal to classical to jazz to electronic to industrial to techno to blues to oldies to classic country to goth to indie to punk to world and vocal to pop to swing to gospel to rap to soul to doo wop to reggae to... well, you get the idea, right?
3. Reading/Writing. It's not unusual for me to be reading three or four books at one time. I love sci-fi and fantasy (my sister's fault... she got me into Anne McCaffrey at a young age, and ever since then, I was hooked), but I'll read just about anything. I pretty much always have a pen and a pad of paper handy, but I've been known to write on napkins, the margins of my school notes/tests, my pants, even leaves. I have a horrible tendency to not finish things, especially if they're supposed to be long. I'd like to be published, but as I have a thing about not letting anyone else read anything I've written, I don't know if that'll ever happen.
